Commissions

Nancy accepts commissions year-round. Collectors often see a piece in a museum, an ad in a magazine, on her website, or from her book and would like something similar and customized to fit their specifications. Commissions are a wonderful way to trust Nancy’s ability to create something you will cherish. Giving us a size and subject matter, Nancy will help you create the perfect custom painting.

The first step is to contact Cawdrey Gallery to discuss your idea of a custom painting. We will schedule a time to meet with Nancy and discuss the project in greater detail and to hear your story.

The next step is providing you with a quote with size, medium, and estimated retail price for the finished framed painting, as well as an estimated timeline for completion. Nancy will sketch out several ideas for your approval.

After a quote is agreed upon, an upfront deposit of 50% is needed to add your name to Nancy’s commission list.

We will keep in touch with you as the custom painting progresses. Commissioned paintings can take as long as twelve to eighteen months to complete, depending on size and complexity.
